Our third WiSTEM Wednesday of the year will feature Dr. Mechthild Tegeder, who will chat with WiSTEMmers about her own research and more. Join grad students, undergrads, and any interested parties who show for an hour; eat some cookies; meet some good folks; bond. No RSVP required.

The Only Woman in the Room: Talk and Panel discussion featuring Eileen Pollack

Tuesday, October 18th at 4:00 pm, Honors Lounge

Eileen Pollack, the author/scientist behind this book, “The Only Woman in the Room: Why science is still a boys’ club”, joins us from the University of Michigan to talk about the challenges facing women who choose STEM fields. Pollack’s talk will be followed by a panel discussion among distinguished WSU faculty members. This event is open to the community. Pollack will give a literary reading the following evening, Wednesday, October 19th at 5pm at the Museum of Art as part of the Department of English’s Visiting Writer Series.
